LearnLock Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using LearnLock ("App"), operated by Builado LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.
2. Description of Service
LearnLock is an AI-powered study planning application that generates personalized learning plans, teaching content, and practice questions based on topics and materials you provide. The App also includes a focus mode feature that uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to help you minimize distractions during study sessions.
3. AI-Generated Content
Study plans, teaching slides, and questions are generated using artificial intelligence (OpenAI). While we strive for accuracy:
• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• Content is intended as a study aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information.
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information used for academic or professional purposes.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will meet specific educational standards or requirements.
• AI-generated content must not be used as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice. You should always consult a qualified professional before acting on information in these fields.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide accurate information when creating study plans.
• Use the App for lawful educational purposes only.
• Not upload materials that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
• Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, obscene, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or misuse the App or its services.
• Not use the App to generate content that violates any applicable law or third-party rights.
5. Data & Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the processing of study content by third-party AI services.
6. Screen Time & Focus Mode
The focus mode feature uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls APIs. By enabling this feature:
• You authorize LearnLock to manage app restrictions on your device during active study sessions.
• You can disable this feature at any time from within the App.
• Builado LLC is not responsible for any disruption caused by app restrictions during focus mode sessions.
7. Usage Limits
The App may include limits on the number of study plans you can create. These limits are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. In the event that we discontinue the App entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice through the App or via our website. Since all study data is stored locally on your device, you will retain access to your existing data even if the service is discontinued.
8. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content (excluding user-provided materials and AI-generated study content) are the property of Builado LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any materials you upload to the App. By uploading materials, you grant Builado LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, transmit, and analyze your uploaded content solely for the purpose of providing the App's study plan generation and answer evaluation services. This license terminates when you delete your data or uninstall the App.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Builado LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content for academic purposes. In no event shall Builado LLC's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App exceed fifty U.S. dollars ($50.00).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Builado LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim or proceeding, you agree to contact Builado LLC at support@builado.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved in accordance with Section 13 (Governing Law).
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Florida.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
